Switch 1 vs Switch 2
Both consoles have their own $49.99 listing. The listings do not establish a Switch 1-to-Switch 2 upgrade offer; Nintendo’s “Supported” label on this page is for family-group lending. The physical Switch 2 edition is a Game-Key Card.

What the stores actually sell
The Switch page and the Switch 2 page are separate products, both dated October 27, 2026 for the US, both single-player, both listing English, French, and Spanish.
Limited Edition is $89.99 and is offered for Switch, Switch 2, and PS5. On Switch 2 the game inside that box is a Game-Key Card, which means the cartridge is a key and the game installs from the network.
Performance, one test
RPG Site compared Switch 2, PS5, Switch 1, handheld PC, Steam Deck, and ROG Ally. They reported a 60 fps target and a 1080p cap on consoles, light stutter on Switch 1, and no matching opening hitches in the Switch 2 runs. No second independent benchmark was verified in this audit, so this stays one source.
Sources and verification
Source review updated 2026-10-28. Publisher statements and store listings may share a source; two links alone do not establish independent confirmation. Unless an independent cross-check is explicitly identified, treat a named publisher or store claim as a single-source statement. Access restrictions and disagreements are marked in the article.
